Why It Is Important for Us to Have a Good Dental Hygiene

"dental hygiene"Dental hygiene is also known by the name of oral hygiene and it represents a big part of our entire health and hygiene routine. First of all, we all need to know that a big percentage of the bacteria enter our body through the mouth.

Due to the saliva from our mouth destroy the bacteria. But we don’t have to let the saliva to do the entire job because when there are a lot of bacteria it can’t deal with them anymore and the food that we eat gets also contaminated. It is then logical that our health is affected.

We won’t get suddenly sick because the entire process is gradual. That makes people to think that nothing so bad happens and they don’t do anything to avoid it or to prevent it. This will only make things to get bad slowly.

Studies were made and they showed that people who don’t respect their oral hygiene are more exposed to heart disease when they get old. Also, people that don’t respect a proper dental hygiene are getting tired more quickly. We don’t have to talk know about the breath which is obviously bad smelling if we don’t brush our teeth.

Dental decay is caused by the fact that people don’t respect their dental hygiene and they don’t eat proper. If we consume a lot of products with a high acidity we will sure have problems with teethes later. So it is better if we stay away from animal fats, sugar or saturated fats.

Why? Because the products that are high in acid make the natural cleaning of the mouth defective. On the other hand, healthy food increases the flow of saliva and helps us not having a bad breath. Drinking a lot of liquids is very important and should not be ignored. This is an important step that you have to respect if you want to have an excellent dental hygiene.

The era in which we are living, surely has affected our eating program. This is bad for our kids. Because they consume often fast foods and a lot of sweets they are the main victims of dental decay. Even if they brush their teeth three times in a day they can’t avoid problems if they continue eating bad food.

If you want to have a proper dental hygiene you should also be careful with your gums. Gums are an important part of our oral cavity because they sustain our teeth. If we don’t our have enough vitamins and calcium in our body our gums won’t be healthy. This will cause dental decay and bleeding gums. If your gums are red or sour you sure have a great problem with your oral cavity and you should visit a doctor.

Regular flossing is also important for your gums and for their health. If you brush regularly you should also remember to floss you teeth. You should to that three times in a week. You could also try to massage your teeth with your finger because this will do you well making the teeth and the gums stronger by improving the blood circulation.
